Lluís Estrada-Garcia, M.D., Ph.D.
He studied the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and the Doctorate in Medicine and Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Barcelona. He completed the Doctoral Thesis on “Electroencephalographic evaluation of hepatic encephalopathy” and obtained the Extraordinary Doctorate Award.
He trained as a Specialist in Clinical Neurophysiology at the Clinical and Provincial Hospital of Barcelona, Section of Electroencephalography and Neurophysiology.
He studied Technical Telecommunications Engineering, specializing in Electronic Equipment, at the University School of Telecommunications Engineering of Madrid.
He has complemented his training with courses of Palliative Care, Bioethics in Health Sciences, Basic Life Support Instructor with airway instrumentation and Automatic Defibrillators, “Cardiac Arrest, Hypothermia and Resuscitation Science”.
He has developed his professional activity as a doctor, mainly in the University Hospital of Tarragona Joan XXIII and his teaching activity in the Department of Physiology in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Barcelona.
For more than 25 years it has been dedicated to the study, research, dissemination and also in the participation in associations and platforms oriented to the subject of the biology of aging, of the possibilities of trying to increase longevity and of the alternative that supposes the Cryopreservation in those situations, which in the current state of science, would lead to death.
